We've all heard about smarthome, but the pricing and complexity of what's out there today puts many people off. When I wanted to set my apartment up I was swept into a sea of apps, standards, high prices, and different hubs, so you end up with more apps on your home screen and less money in your wallet.

We wanted to create something simple and inexpensive that would work with Alexa and Google Assistant. And Geeni connects directly to your home wifi network, no special hub or bridge required. You can try out one bulb or outfit your entire home, making it much easier for you to try out, rather than forcing you to buy a ''starter pack'' and get stuck with a particular hub.

What has been the best part of your startup experience? There are so many interesting products coming out every day, but also many things that make you ask yourself ''what were they thinking?''.
