The dark sky movement reduces artificial light and glare that is now known as light pollution. When an outdoor light burns out, consider it an opportunity to install a low Wattage, LED bulb with luminosity that is night time-friendly. You now attain dark sky without special costly featuring!

The dark sky designed LED fits 99% of medium based fixtures because of its low profile design. These bulbs are designed to prevent light from traveling upward, but they are also used in some applications where light shining horizontally or outward needs to be controlled in order to prevent light pollution.

This Bulb is great for beaches with a population of sea turtles. When sea turtles lay eggs, the newly hatched babies look for the moonlit horizon, which can be dangerously replicated by bright lights further inland. This bulb is significantly harder for baby turtles to notice, keeping them safe and headed in the right direction.
